RouterOS V5.16 is given problem to the RB433AH...

Hi…

any one facing this issue, the RouterOS V5.16 will given very bad respond especially when ping can up to few thousand ms…
but when downgrade to the V4.16, then everything back to normal…

Clarify the issue please. Ping over wireless or ethernet interface? if wireless, did you try newest RouterOS v5.17 release where we have improved Nv2 ping times?

this AP setting is under “unspecific” wireless protocol which i use to serve as normal AP…
I just upload the RouterOS V5.16 for few days then all the connection intermittent and ping time can up to 3000++ms when can ping it…

but most of the time no able to ping, but when downgrade to the version as mentioned, same ping from via wireless no issue at all…

off course, if link up both end with V5.16 there is no issue, but now issue is when the AP running on as normal AP for laptop to connect…

will V5.17 fix this issue?

Remarks: from V5.16 downgrade to V4.16 the configuration remain the same…

can see that the V5.17 solve this issue…
and using laptop connect to the AP connection can established within 6 seconds (big surprised)…

but still need to test more detail…

I have the same problem this happens with both ethernet and wireless connection, but it seems to happen alot more with wireless than the ethernet. I’m using Omnitik SXTs back haul with 433s as client access points and a 750 for the gateway.

Bridge has rstp running
WDS is dynamic

Reboots fix the problem for a couple of hours but when more than 3 users connect to the system it appears again.

Have you tried upgrading to v5.17? Looks like the issue was solved for the above poster.

one more thing to highlight…
V5.17 will very stable in the clean environment, if there is channel (2 channel spacing) close to it, then the wireless is very bad.
