Hello!
I just got Mikrotik router for the first time and got it up and running with Winbox.
Got a dhcp server running for my clients. This is all great, but when I made my IP static it did not want to connect. Ping to router does not work.
I used the same ip, mask, gw and dns as the dhcp gives out. I tried doing this to 2 machines and they can ping eachother, but not the gateway / mikrotik router. Back to dhcp and both clients can ping the gateway and reach the internet.
Can anyone tell me what I might have done wrong or missed?
