Hi!
I’m running RouterOS v6.9 on a RB951G-2HnD. I have configured different static DNS enties, around 20, and every once in a while some of them randomly reconfigure themselves as regex. Due to the fact that they match with what they shouldn’t, web navigation is sometimes compromised . There’s no way to disable the regexp flag except from removing the entry and inserting it again.
Is this a known bug?
It seems every new static DNS entry I add gets the regexp flag, and sometimes other entries decide they are regexp for a while as well. All of my entries are the same format, “hostname.bea” gets mapped to a specific IP on my local 192.168.88.0/24 network.
I haven’t noticed this behavior on my oldest entries, from maybe 1.5yrs ago when I first set up this router. But I’m also not sure how long it has been happening because I only recently created one that interfered with my usual web browsing traffic.
I noticed when I made a mail.bea hostname entry that broke webmail urls in browsers on my network. I keep winbox open, keeping track of this router often because I’m having (unrelated) ISP connectivity issues over the last few weeks, but winbox doesn’t seem to update the status of the regexp flag often/ever. When I create a new static entry, it almost always behaves with regexp flag, but the flag won’t show in winbox until I close the window and reconnect.
