I’m doing some simulation studies using MikroTik CHR routerOS versions 7 and 6.
Lately, I’ve been founding some more than superficial differences in the interface. For example, when establishing the RIP protocol in an AS, the steps are completely different.
Furthermore, the documentation seems to be outdated. For example, when establishing an IP route, and setting the blackholeproperty, the documentation states we have options yes/no, but in v7 again I don’t.
What are the implications of using one version or the other for learning purposes?
What are the main differences between using v7, or v6?
