RouterOS v7 - Wi-Fi devices talking to wired ones [user error :)]

I have just moved from a hAP using v6 to a hAP ac2 on v7.

Before: I couldn’t log in to Ethernet devices generally with a phone or other device using the Wi-Fi (and not on the guest network..) but the phone could talk to a music server attached via Ethernet running moOde via MPD (uses port 6600).

Now: it can’t. The app I use (M.A.L.P.) complains it can’t reach the music server.

I have set up the static IP addresses I was using for the wired kit on the hAP ac2, but nothing’s changed on the music server and I can happily control it over Ethernet on the same IP address etc. I am currently wondering if I did something I have forgotten on the hAP to get it to work over Wi-Fi.

What do I need to do to get it to work?

What else, if anything, do I need to do to get wireless devices (using the main Wi-Fi network, not the guest one) to talk to and from the Ethernet ones more generally?

Thanks…

You are going to need to post and export of your config

Ah ha, it turns out that the issue was that the phone was connected to a different network (long story..)

Actually a short story. Thanks for letting us know. Now you can mark topic as solved.
