RouterOS Wireless on MikroTik routers without antennas....

I own both an RB2011UAS-RM, and CCR1016-12G (different locations). I would like to take advantage of the wireless featured within the RouterOS configuration, however only have Ubiquity UniFi AP’s that run on their own settings. Is there a MikroTik Product (or any brand) that can be connected to these routers to replace my existing AP’s and take advantage of the RouterOS wireless configurations? OR, is the RouterOS wireless options only available for MikroTik routers with integrated wireless cards / antenna’s?

More information is available if needed.

Thanks,
Matt

You will need a mikrotik with wireless to use wireless via RouterOS. Look at routerboard.com. There are plenty of integrated and “custom build” solutions.

So I guess what your saying is that there’s no way to retrofit my current routers to support the native wireless options? … bummer.

Now-a-days majority of the people prefer to use a wireless with the router OS and there are many advantages comparatively.

Correct. There is the 2011UAS-2HnD that has wireless built in. You could switch out the rack mount version or just add an external AP like a Groove, Metal, or even 951.
