Hello…
I’m trying to setup some static routes but I’m having loads of trouble.
Here is what it should look like:
10.0.10.0/24 Network ↔ 10.0.10.1/24 (ether1) ↔ 10.0.9.4/24 (ether2) ↔ 10.0.9.0/24 Network ↔ 10.0.9.1/24 (ether1) ↔ 172.16.5.1/16 (ether2) ↔ 172.16.0.0/16 Network ↔ 172.16.0.1 Internet Router ↔ Internet.
I set it all up how i believe it shoulda been setup and when i would tracerouter from the 10.0.9.4 mikrotik to the 172.16.0.1 internet gateway router it would say:
1st hop 10.0.9.1 - 2ms etc… (which is correct)
2nd hop 0.0.0.0 - * etc… (have no idea why it isn’t working right here).
EDIT I just tried deleting all of the routes i had put in there besides the default route 0.0.0.0/0 and turned BGP on… they exchanged information but it still won’t work correctly.
Update I moved everything from our towers to my office and setup a exact simulation so I could work on it without having to drive back and forth from the tower. I can ping from my Internet Gateway Router into anything on the 10.0.10.x subnet (thru both mk routers) and anything on the 172.16.xxx.xxx subnet can ping anything on the 10.0.10.x subnet but if i get on a PC on the 10.0.10.x subnet and try to traceroute the Internet router it will go thru the first mikrotik (10.0.10.1) and hit the second one (10.0.9.1) and fail there. I dont understand how i can go into the 10.0.10.xxx subnet but not out from it.
I appreciate any help!
Thanks!
