Hello All,
I’m very new to the Mirkrotik world and I only use it for my Home LAB so I do not have much time to study every function of RouterOS.
I was succfully able to configure one Vlan interface for the ESX Management network of my home server (Configured on a specified interface, ether3) and a buch of other Vlan interface for the subnet I use in my server and the VPN landing (OpenVPN) (All configured on the same interface, ether4)
Ether1 is configured, as default, for WAN access (Connected to my home network)
Ether2 should be for the Server iLO, initially I wanted to have the same Vlan on ether2 and ether3 so that I can have all the Managemnt IP in the same subnet, I was not able to do that so I tryed to configure a new vlan interface exactly as all the other for the iLO MGMT but I was not able to.
I tryed checking the configuration but it look exactly as the others.
Even by directly connecting a PC and statically assing an IP address to it I’m not able to ping the router interface.
As attachment I’m uploading a Layer 3 layout of the infrastructure.
Can someone tell me how to have the same vlan on both ether 2 and ether 3 or how to properly configure the new vlan interface?
If you need I will upload some part of the router configuration later on today.
