Can this be done with the RouterOS & Routerboard? I have a customer who is currently using a Cisco router for internet access & VPN to a corporate network. I do not have any access to this router as far as configuration. They are getting ready to upgrade their broadband beyond what the Cisco can handle. They are currently using a 192.168.10.0 range internally. Can I setup the Routerboard with an internet connection straight to the cable modem with a static IP address and with internal IP 192.168.10.1 and leave the current router on 192.169.10.254. I would want the customer computers to be set to use the Microtik at 192.168.10.1 as their gateway but then I would like the Microtik to route all traffic to certain VPN ranges through to the existing Cisco which would also be connected to the cable modem on a separate public IP address?
I recognize that this is out of the ordinary because I am asking for the Microtik to route certain traffic back across the LAN connection. Perhaps this is a stupid question but is it feasible to do it this way. If not, can you give me any other suggestions that do not require me to access the existing Cisco configuration?
Thanks
