Routing without NAT enabled

Hi there,

I think there has been other posts related to Public IP routing without NAT, but it just seems that every network has it’s differences.

I have 6 OM(open-mesh) access points that I want to setup behind a RB532 that will take care of DHCP and hotspot server, I have been told that the OM1P access points with configure themselves for MESHing and Nat’ing and cannot use the RB532 for these functions. If this is the case I would like to know how to setup routing for guests that are connecting to the AP’s that are in MESH(ROBIN Mesh) and how to get the RB532 to pass traffic to allow these clients out to the Public Internet, it’s very simple network…ether1 has a Public IP from a Cable Modem and then ether2 will go to the Parent AP to provide gateway access to the other AP’s.

how can I achieve this without NAT?

Thanks

This is still a feature alot of people are facing, but the future appears to have a silver lining…the next release of ROBIN will have support for what I want to achieve. The problem with OM is that it won’t let DHCP and NAT be controlled by MikroTik(in my case) So now I just wait. Good thing i’m a patient guy!

Cheers!
