I am using RSTP between two sites as failover…
450G router, Port2 and Port3 are in Bridge1 and currently RSTP is blocking Port2. Failover works just fine but my question is does 450G perform RSTP on switch ports in the same fashion as it works on Bridge ports? If I removed the Bridge1 and slaved Port3 to Port2, would it work? Would it improve performance?
Lastly, do I need RSTP enabled on the 450g if the second site has a toughswitch that performs RSTP?
