Hello everyone.
We are currently using some CRS326 and CRS309 Switches in a Primary/Secondary Topology as shown in my example Picture. Everything is working fine and Vlans are dynamically assigned across the whole network.
But sometimes it breaks. I get huge loops with gigabits of traffic, and they all hit the cpu of the switches as well. This means that i cant access any switch for finding the lopp and i have to shut the whole network down to stop it.
There seems to be an issue with RSTP in combination with MVRP where MVRP data is looping through links that should be diasbled by RSTP.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
The log is full of:
2026-06-01 00:13:05 bridge,warning no buffer space available for fdb notify
and:
2026-06-01 00:13:05 interface,warning ether23: bridge RX looped packet - MAC d4:01:c3:af:77:6e -> 01:00:0c:cc:cc:cc VID 99 ETHERTYPE 0x0004
I can share all configs if needed.
Thanks a lot
David
