hi
i am just playing around with stp in order to figure out how to protect an infrastructure from misconfigured switches plugged in to client ports.
i found from the documentation that there is a setting “restricted-role” which is supposed to keep a port from becoming a root port.
i set it to yes on one port and connected it to the root bridge and it still goes into state “root port” is this a bug or did i misunderstand the setting?
the devices are all hap ac lite and the bridges are using rstp.
