RSTP "TCHANGE start/over" continuously

Hi There,

After a bit of clarification regarding the logging for STP. Current router CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ. RouterOS 7.13

Every few seconds we’re seeing logs for “TCHANGE start” (3 secs later) TChange Over. On 3 interfaces. Spams for a few hours, then stops for a day or so.

Any idea what could be causing this?

I have the same thing happening on my equipment. Im guessing the TCHANGE stands for topology change but I dont see any role changes in the bridge port status…

running 7.13 on a netpower16P

Hi, I was looking for a way to log stp-related events and stumbled upon this post. How do you actually do it? I want to investigate what I think is an stp related issue but bridge filters don’t seem to work for stp addresses (no stp traffic is captured even when logging all traffic across the bridge ports connected). I’m sorry I can’t give you an answer to your question right now but I might be able to help you if I manage to implement stp logging and check how it behaves for me :slight_smile:
