RTL8110SC Realtek Chipset

Hi Guys,
I know this was asked before but didn’t see any reply…is there any planned support for the above chipset and, if so, any idea on when ?..

Many thanks,
Regards,
Steve

… asked for, no response yet, awaited … yes please …

Once installed, reboot and the system does not see/load network cards ?..Am I missing something ?

Beta 3.0.4 Netinstall didn’t work…didn’t see the cards, Beta 3.0.5 Netinstall worked but system package does not appear to have the drivers…maybe I’m not getting something ?.

Cheers,
Steve

You are right the drivers were not in Beta 4. We have not had time to try Beta 5 yet.
This chipset is now widespread, and there ARE linux 2.6 drivers for it, so anyone who needs it keep up a (reasonable!) petition. Am sure MT will respond or just add it in and let us find it …

Still no support in Beta5 - just tried today.

Please can we have support in the next one please?

Many thanks

Regards

The strange thing is Netinstall in B5 recognises the card, just not the main product when installed so support is there, just not rolled in to the full package yet…here’s hoping in B6

Yes, I saw that: Netinstall sees it, but not RouterOS when running.

Hope they put it in Beta 6 -

Any updates/comments from MT people on this please?

Would be greatly appreciated -

Regards

I have just run across a MB that has these LAN chips on them.. I was just about to ask for support.. but I guess I will just add my voice to the list of those who need it.

Same for me, I would like to use the Commell LE565 platform (1GHz Via, 4 x Realtek RTL 8110S-32 Gigabit Ethernet controller) instead of the LE564 one (533MHz Via, 4 x Realtek 8137C+ 10/100 Mbps).
