So, im trying to setup a test client, who has a Ruckus 2111 media adapter (which is kind of like a wet11), but im having horrible luck setting it up.
I can use the device perfectly when its associated with a dd-wrt device, using the WDS features built into that OS, but all i can do with the mikrotik, is get it associated, and ping the wireless adapter, but never pass data to the actual pc attached to the adapter. The pc can ping the adapter, but cant talk to the router.
Ruckus has some funky features when it comes to their devices, and this is one thing that talks about it on their forums:
“Please make sure you search these forums to learn how to configure with non Ruckus APs. I don’t know whether your Netgear Wireless gateway supports WDS 4 Address mode or not, so there is a possibility, your set up may not work.”
It appears the devices only works with WDS 4 address mode access points and nothing else.
Anyone have any ideas?
