Run LTE cat. 9 or heigher modem on Mikrotik RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD

I would like to use Mikrotik RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD router with LTE modem supporting 3CA. I haven’t found any on https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Peripherals
I have found information that routerOS supports the Quectel EM12-G modem using M.2 to miniPCIe adapter. Unfortunately it is not available in my country. Is there a chance that the Quectel LTE-A EM120R-GL modem for Lenovo will work with RBwAPGR-5HacD2HnD?

There is always a chance. I would not buy the modem if I had no other application for it, but if you can try the modem in your wAP ac without losing the money if it doesn’t work, it’s worth trying. There is a caveat, though - USB 3 is not standardized for miniPCIe, so you may end up with USB 2 being a bottleneck (480 Mbit/s is just a bitrate of the bus, not the actual throughput).
