I have configured multicast routing on CRS326-24G-2S+RM in order to allow my Music player to access my DLNA server.
Everything’s working fine from a end user perspective. However I keep getting the following two warning messages in my logs.
RX IGMP_V2_MEMBERSHIP_REPORT from <music player IP> to 239.255.255.250 on vif <DLNA server vlan>: source must be directly connected
RX IGMP_V2_MEMBERSHIP_REPORT from <DLNA server IP> to 239.255.255.250 on vif <DLNA music player vlan>: source must be directly connected
I can’t find any relevant information about what could cause such warnings.
I found this about IGMP_V2_MEMBERSHIP_REPORT: https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/internet-core-protocols/1565925726/re39.html but I can’t link this to the warning…
- Has anybody already encountered such warnings ?
- What could cause them ?
