RX, TX signal strenght

From some days i have very strange problem and i cannot find where it is.

I have simple AP bridge ->station link . The problem is - from client side i see the AP with -59 dBm witch is perfect, but TX Signal srenght is -84 dBm witch is bad i think. Similary - on Registration table - in AP side - i see client with -84dBm and TX signal strenght is -59dBm.
With Bandwith Test - in one of directions i have 10MB , and in other direction i have 200kb. Where can be this problem, ideas?

What make of Wireless cards are you using? There was a bad batch of Ubiquiti XR5s which can exhibit a failure in one half of the unit, i.e. TX or RX, but not complete failure. Try changing the card at one end, if that doesn’t fix it, try changing the other end!

Pretty much any card can fail in this way.

Unfortunately without using a third known good wireless unit there’s really no way to establish which end is at fault, by changing the cards you have a 50% chance of of getting it right first time and 100% second time!

On both sides i use RB600 with R52 MT cards, same 24Dbi grid 5.8Ghz antenas.

The other direction which you can get 200 kb is I think the one which has -84dBm
It is weird, problem would be both sides. May be there’s a problem in your antenna or mini-pci TX part in -59 dBm that you got.
Or, -84dBm one has a problem in RX in antenna or mini-pci.

Try to change their mini-pci with other one. I mean take your mini-pci card from one side and put other side. And do same thing with other.
If problem’s same. There’s a problem in antenna or antenna cables. If problem’s changed and problem depends on mini-pci card. Than change the -84 dBm one.

Are you 100% sure about antenna alignment?
