Hello! Previously, I purchased 6 pairs of new S-3553LC20D SFP modules. I just had the opportunity to try out the modules. The first test was between a CRS112 and a 260GS switch with about 20m of cable, patch cables and adapters. The link is fine, the signal level is good, but there is no traffic. The next trial was between two 260GS switches, testing each module with a 1.5m LC-LC cable. The result is the same. Winbox doesn’t see the switch either. Hungarian MikroTik forum I asked the problem, they could not help. The idea was that the module might be over-controlled due to the short cable. But that is not relevant. We previously installed an IP camera system with several 260GS switches and a CRS112 on the front of the system. Of course, this system has more mechanical joints, but in neither case is the cable length 500m, and the system has been running smoothly for years. We used the same SFP modules. Therefore, I do not understand the current problem. I’ve tested the SFP ports on the switches with a Cisco copper module, and they all work perfectly. I tried to set the port speed to fixed gigabit, but it still doesn’t work. Do you have any ideas? Can each of my MikroTik SFP modules fail? Thanks.
