I plugged an S+RJ10 into my RB5009 because I wanted to get 2.5 gig to my new CRS310 with the 2.5 gig ports.
Everything works great, but I have a dumb beginner question. The ethernet cable doesn’t “click” into place on the S+RJ10. It can easily pull right kht I see there’s a brass fold down tab, and I am not sure if that’s there to hold the cable in place somehow. Does anyone have some guidance on how to keep the cable from pulling out?
The brass fold down tab is likely to lock the rj10 device into the sfp slot.
If you can pull the rj10 out of the slot without unlocking the tab you need to move it
to the locked position.
Seems unlikely to be the issue with the ethernet cable coming out.
Perhaps try another ethernet cable.
Another cable didn’t work. The cable still doesn’t “click” into place. It seems like there’s nowhere to even catch the retaining tab. How do others keep their cables in?
