Hi,
I have several locations with mikrotik routers. They are connected via Wireguard in a full graph. I’d like to run EoIP for some weird services that rely on broad/multicasts, etc.
Setting up the link is easy, the problem is that after minute or so the client in the network I’m working in loses WAN connectivity while LAN connectivity stays OK. I can’t ping the router anymore but winbox via MAC works fine. Also, the routers don’t disconnect from each other, their WAN connectivity is unaffected. 30-60 seconds after disabling the router everything goes back to normal.
What’s might be a hint is that my gateway ping time rises from 2ms to 60ms before it disappears.
The locations are in different subnets. I’m filtering DHCP, but probably there’s something else I’m missing. I went further and disabled ARP as well, but still same problems.
What do I need to do in order for EoIP tunnel to play nicely with each configuration having it’s own subnet, gateway and IP routing?
