Good day! I have two rooms with ethernet. One room has MikroTik hAP lite with wifi spot in it. Can I somehow connect another MikroTik hAP lite to ethernet in second room and make them both to give same WIFI spot?
Solution 1:
You can configure both device with the same SSID and Password.
The Client will then be able to connect to both APs. \ \ \ Solution 2: If you dont want to manage your Wireless-AP`s separately..
You can use the Capsman-Feature of Mikrotik to manage them centrally.
Option #2 in previous post by @ConnyMercier is likely an overkill for installation with grand total of 2 APs.
When going for option #1, if one of APs will be router as well, configure the other AP as simple ethernet to wireless converter, i.e. no routing, no firewalling, no NATing, no DHCP server … nothing.
