Sandisk ExtremeIII 2GB with v.3.9

Hi,

After success on first router with alix board, I’m configuring another one, on first one I used 64Mb CF noname card with no problems, since small cards are hard to het I purchased the smallest possible 2Gb sandisk extremeIII.

After 2 days of installing it still not possible to boot the os, the card is detected but dont boot:

PC Engines ALIX.2 v0.99
640 KB Base Memory
261120 KB Extended Memory

01F0 Master 848A SanDisk SDCFX3-2048
Phys C/H/S 3970/16/63 Log C/H/S 992/64/63

SYSLINUX 2.08 2003-12-12 Copyright (C) 1994-2003 H. Peter Anvin

It just stays there:)

I tried to reformat many times with USB card reader, try to install different linux OS on the card and it booted fine.

Does someone know the trick? Is the card too big? I tried to manualy partition CF under linux to smaller size, but netinstall overwrites partitons each time I run install and I’m agian at 2Gb.

Thanks for your help.

did it..with ISO install in vmware, but no way to install with netinstall.

Hope that helps someone.

Regards,
