sangoma settings problem.

I have mikrotik 2.9.1 license level 4 with synchronous package installed.
I have tried using both a sangoma S5141 PCI Dual Port Card and a sangoma S5142 PCI Quad Port Card.
Under the interfaces section I can see the sangoma interfaces but cannot find where to set other features of the sangoma interface.
I would like to know where to set the cards to use CHDLC protocol and various other settings?
I’ve looked using the terminal but cannot seem to find a sangoma submenu.
From the terminal there is no /interface/sangoma menu.
I’ve also looked at /driver and there is no mention of a sangoma driver loaded.
/system/resource/irq print shows sangoma1 & sangoma3 at irq 5
/system/resource/io doesn’t show anything sangoma related
/system/resource/pci print shows “6 01:08.0 V3 Semiconductor Inc. V300PSC (rev: 0) 5” which is the sangoma card.

I dont think the multi port Sangomas have a driver yet…
You are seing the underlying kernal ID the hardware device durring hardware discovery. (The OS must ID it to avoid IO collisions.)..

I’m sure there’s support.
This sangoma section of the manual http://www.mikrotik.com/docs/ros/2.9/interface/sangoma states quite clearly that the 2 card’s I’m trying to use are supported.

I think the manual is older then the decision from Mt to not support sangoma giving the fact that drivers are not opensource.

There were several discussions about it in the past.

wrong! you are confusing two devices! sangoma is supported, what rpingar meant was the DSL card that we don’t support. the manual is correct and working, there must be either a configuration problem or a hardware problem. you will have to wait until Eugene gets back, he will be able to help you

unfortunately the manual still mention the adsl card into the supported list.

So I tought all was not supported

Any chance the Sangoma DSL card will ever be supported? Also does anyone know of an SDSL interface card that works with RouterOS?

Why do you have to use an internal DSL card? Connect an external DSL device to an ethernet card that is enabled without an ip address, setup the external DSL device to run in bridge mode, run mikrotik pppoe client over connected ethernet adapter and you will have the ip address on the mikrotik box.

I run into CFO types that WILL NOT install a device that relys on an external modem. I don’t know why…
Other than a lot of the external devices I have come across lately are POSs.. I mean Big Time !!

I use http://www.planet.com.tw/product/product_dm.php?product_id=185&menu_id=12 with up times of 3 months.
Sell your CFO types a good UPS as well hook and it up to both the external DSL device and mikrotik server.

All the external modem are not a solution where, like in europe, most providers uses PPPoA, and also if you like to do special things like BGP.

So in my opinion it is a must to have an internal dsl giving the fact that adsl2 is fast spreading around the globe.

I had to use a linux box with sangoma on my border for those reasons.
