SAT BACKBONE + ADSL DUAL INTERNET CONNECTION HELP REQUIRED

Hi all,

I have just gotten an ADSL line installed for backup connection to internet for when satellite is down.

What I would like to do is setup the router to use both internet connections concurrently, and when the other goes down the one that remains stays online.

If anyone could help in this setup it would be greatly appreciated.

More on the setup.

ETH1 = connected to sat router.
ETH2 = not used
WLAN1 = Client connected to ap
WLAN2 = Clients connect to ap
WLAN3 = AP with link to ADSL router.

We use Userman to manage PPPOE connections.

I have tried to setup default route to ADSL line but as soon as I set this up is no longer uses the Sat connection. I can use either or but not both.

If this can not be done can some one please help with bandwidth shaping.

details of ip addressing etc

SAT router --10.77.204.193--------ETH1–10.77.204.199
Wlan1 --192.168.10.1 Clients connect here
Wlan2 --192.168.20.1 Clients connect here
Wlan3 --192.168.30.1 Connected to ADSL router via ap bridge
note there are some clients that connect using this interface
We have got two gateways one being 192.168.1.254 on wlan 3 which is the adsl connection
the other is 10.77.204.193 connected to Eth1

Is it possible that the following could be done.

User1 connects to sat
User2 connects to ADSL
Etc.

so that we may choose which connecting each client uses.

If no one can help with the above, would someone be able to help with this

SAT for normal customers, and ADSL for specific users.

Lets say that Myself and other admin user want to use the ADSL service, can this be done?

I am sure the first way is possible, but what I actually want to do is only have admin users able to access internet though ADSL.

I have read the wiki on bandwidth shaping, for two wan interfaces, but we would like only two or three users access to the adsl line.

Please anyone that can help would be greatly appreciated
