Saving Script over WAN Connection Crashes Winbox

Been dealing with this issue for a really long time now but I thought I would bring it up to see if anybody else is experiencing the same problems. Even on ROS 6.29.1, through Winbox, whenever I remotely edit a system script while connecting over the WAN connection and hit the OK or Apply buttons to save the script, Winbox crashes and my changes are lost. As a workaround, I have been RDP’ing into a machine and connecting from the local LAN subnet using Winbox to edit scripts. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I do have IPSec set up between the sites. Can anybody please try and reproduce this issue?

IMO you have a mtu problem.. take a look here http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/mtu-mss-problem-on-ipsec-tunnel/59747/1

Hi bajodel, thanks for the reply. For this particular site where I have this problem, I am using IPSec in transport mode over IPIP tunnels and have Clamp TCP MSS set on both ends. Even before that setting existed, I already had mangle rules on both ends changing the MSS so hopefully that shouldn’t be the issue.
