Hi,
I have a RB2011UiAS-RM in place splitting a LAN into two segments. The first and second interfaces are connected to two separate physical networks and they share a single gateway.
LAN 1 - 192.168.2.0/24
GW - 192.168.2.1
LAN 2 - 192.168.8.0/24
GW - 192.168.8.1
I have a couple of HP 4345 MFP printers that have scan to email functionality. The email server currently resides on the 192.168.2.0/24 network the printers when placed on the 192.168.8.0/24 network can be printed to but the scan to email capability on the Printer says it cannot find the email gateway.
Everything else on the 192.168.8/0/24 network can connect to the mailserver across the bridge, this points to it being an issue with the software on the printer however I have 2 more of these printers at other branch offices and they print without issues over IP VPN connections using windows print servers in this office location.
Has anybody on here seen symptoms like this and if so how was it resolved?
For now I have had to leave these printers on the 192.168.2.0/24 network, however this network is about to be moved to a datacentre and the printers cannot go with the servers.
Any advice much appreciated.
