Scheduled Reboot

Under the scheduler I have selected that the router should reboot every 24 hours. But it seems not to work, do I need to put in a “script” in the on events form? What is the script for rebooting the router.

My router is hEX S.

Best regards from Sweden!

/system reboot

should do it. (even when just entered as “On event” text)
All needed policies must be ticked.

Daily reboot of a MT? Waw!! You must have some problem to need this.

Tnx, I will get back with feedback how it works. I am new to MikroTik, but I have 1000/1000 mbit fiber connection, a huge load of cameras, game/ftp servers and kids with a unorthodox amount of phones, tablets etc. My last router needed to be restarted alot due to slow connection and hangings.

I’d only start to reboot if your device shows similar symptoms, a pre-emptive reboot may not be necessary…

Tnx for all the help, reboot command worked fine. I have set the router to reboot every second week for starters and we will see how it works.

2 weeks is still likely far more often than needed. I just logged into my main router at home (cable and fiber internet, almost 50 IoT devices - mostly cameras, people in the house who think the world revolves around streaming video, etc). RB4011iGS+ that replaced my RB750Gr3. Uptime 108 days. That goes back to when it was installed.
No indication of needing to reboot it. At some point there will be a RouterOS update that matters and I’ll update it.
