Script Example for Limiting The Time An IP Address Can Be Used

Hello,

I am new to the MikroTik Router OS.

I have searched several boards for the answer in which I am searching for but haven’t found quite what I need.

What I am trying to do is write a script that will allow me to limit the time that a certain IP address can be used.

Such as … I want an IP address (or mac address if that is easier to control) be only be able to be logged into by a users device from 10am to say 7pm for example.

Can anyone point me to an example of a script that I can use to write my own script for such a situation?

Hi , it could be done with scripting , but it would be much easier with IP firewall , just drop any packet from specific users in specific date and time ! also there are a lot of features you may interested to use :wink:

you should know if your user changes his or her ip address it won’t work anymore and could easily bypass your firewall rules , unless your firewall has been configured correctly for this situation , if you wanna use and control over MAC addresses , you can use bridge firewalling
