Script for email and ping latency - summery to be send once per day

Hi,
I want to have the MT ping an IP for x times every half hour.( where x will be 5 for example)
Then at the end of the day send me a summary of the latency of the day via email.
e.g.
11:30:00 max ping 110 ms
12:00:00 max ping 87 ms
etc.

Is this possible?
