I don’t see anywhere on the forum where we can post jobs to create scripts. I’m sure some members would love to make money creating scripts so it might be a good idea.
I need a script that will ping each device in the lease table that has a static ip address, and if there are 5 consecutive bad pings over 30 minutes time an email is generated to notify the device is down. The email would contain the system identity to identify the router, the static ip name (from the comment section), and the date and time it went down, and any other info you think is necessary. The email would only be generated if there are 5 consecutive bad pings in a row. Let’s say there are only 3 bad pings, and then it goes back online, the counter would reset back to zero, and no email would be generated. After a device has 5 bad pings in a row, it is considered down. When a device comes back online after it’s down (5 bad pings), another email will be generated similar to the down email stating it is back online.
