Script to monitor ICMP through one interface

Greetings,

I am looking for a script that will monitor ICMP failures on one interface, and will enable a second interface (backup) when ICMP fails.
Then when ICMP succeeds again, it will disabled the second(backup) interface and continue to route normally.
