Hi Everybody,
I would like to implement a failover scenario on my RouterBoard 750 for avoiding the downtime of the INTERNET connectivity. My ISP gave me two links to accomplish this task. The 1st WAN is connected on a fiber optic circuit and the 2nd WAN is on the wireless link connected to the backhaul of the ISP. My scenario is to establish a failover on the 2 WANs in order to have the 1st WAN as the primary link and the 2nd WAN as backup link. In addition I would like to have the configurations on the 1st WAN be replicated on the 2nd WAN when the primary link is Down and when the link is up the same configuration remains on the 1st WAN. I would like to point out that I received one public address from my ISP, thus the 2nd WAN has no public address. This scenario is equivalent to “the borrow ip” in Cisco and I think that MikroTik RouterOS may have this kind of functionality.
Please help me to solve this case with a script or a configuration template if possible.
Kind Regards .
