SCTP connection helper info

Hi all,

I’m trying to track down any info regarding the SCTP connection helper added in v6.36?

Is it inline with the IETF Draft relating to multi hosts behind a NAT?
“specialized code has been added to NAT for TCP that allows multiple hosts to reside behind a NAT and yet use only a single globally unique IPv4 address, even when two hosts (behind a NAT) choose the same port numbers for their connection. This additional code is sometimes classified as Network Address and Port Translation or NAPT”

Although I do not see any SCTP protocol listed in the firewall NAT, so not 100% convinced its related to this.

Any insight into what this helper is helping to achieve would be great (have searched high and low in the wiki and forum but haven’t had much success in finding out).
wiki info on IP Services for SCTP doesnt give any description either.

I know others have requested SCTP support or queries around it, so hoping this is phase 1 of it getting it in.
