Seamless roaming between two hAP ax S?

Hi!

I want to know if it's possible to establish seamless roaming between two hAP ax S routers. They are the most affordable option for me and I don't have the need of a ceiling AP, as I just want to provide nice coverage at a room that is distant from the current ISP router/ap, that I want ro replace with the Mikrotik. I do have direct ethernet cable, so my intention is to simply connect both hAP ax S via cable and have them both provide wifi to the whole house.

I've experimented with different APs setting the same essid as the one right now, but roaming doesn't work very well: the phone sometimes is kept connected to the farthest AP, or I will totally lose connection for almost a minute… Could this be solved with the setup I described?

I hope I explained myself good enough, English is not my first language and neither is wifi :slight_smile:

Thanks!

Best roaming experience requires CAPsMAN.

(My) best security config:

ft=yes ft-over-ds=yes connect-priority=0/1

And is it feasible to set up CAPsMAN with that pair of routers?

Sure, do you have a router or should the hAP also perform as router?

Have one hAP as CAPsMAN (and router if necessary but this is not required by CAPsMAN) and the other as CAP:

Yes, I intend to replace the ISP router, sone of the Mikrotik would have to perform as a router as well. The other one would simply need to act as AP and switch.
