Hello, does anyone know what the /interface wireless set 0 secondary-channel setting does? It only appears in Winbox under virtual APs.
I could not find any info on this setting in mikrotik wiki.
Thanks
That wiki article is from 2013 but this secondary-channel setting wasn’t available in 2013. Atleast according to my testing. I have a device running 6.39.2 and it does not have this setting but for example devices with 6.42.5 do have this setting.
Anyone?
It looks like a release-client only feature at the moment.
I just noticed the same thing on a device I was testing v6.43rc42 and did the same as you, google searched, found my 802.11n article from 2013 and then came to the forums to see if anyone else had info ![]()
The only info I could find was in the changelog:
*) winbox - added "secondary-channel" setting to wireless interface if 80 MHz mode is selected;
No hints in terminal
rx-chains --
scan-list -- Set of channel frequencies that will be used by device.
secondary-channel --
security-profile --
ssid -- Name that identifies wireless network.
MikroTik folks, any info on what this actually does?
/interface wireless set 0 secondary-channel=auto
hmm, 80Mhz+80Mhz (wave2), sound like something accidentally or intentionally slipped out about some unannounced, soon to be released hardware.
Exited!!! ![]()
I’m Excited!
