Sector AP

What do you think about combination RBSXT G-5HPnD-SAr2 and SXT Lite5 for clients?
Thanks for your time!

It works very well at short distance (3km) with clear line of sight.

The antenna is only usable for very short distances.
I would consider the .ac version.

Clients would be maximum 1km away..

This is ok. But take the .ac version. Even with 20MHz Channels you can achieve higher modulations.
The CPU is newer/faster …

One thing about the SXT models. The plastic is cheap and not UV-Stable.
So after a short time outdoor it looks old. The Antenna is very small. This has
it’s price. It is a budget device. Does it’s job but …

We use Stella Doradus sectors with Mikrotik Boards inside the housing. There are other solutions
from e.g. RFElements or Marsantennas which use higher quality plastics or metal.

Im using same system. for sector using Sar2 and for client sxt 5hpnd and max 2 km for using them best.

I’m pretty sure that i don’t need .ac version. I have small network with 15 clients in rural area and we share 10Mbit speed. For now we are on 2.4GHz and i’m starting consider migration to 5GHz.

If you buy the slower gear you buy twice. The price difference is quite small. Sometime in the future you might share 100MBit. Then you buy/install a second time.

I´ve ordered RBSXTG-5HPacD for AP and SXT Lite5 for client.
Already have working ruterboard 433GL as wireless hotspot on 2.4GHz.
I want to add RBSXTG-5HPacD as 5GHz hotspot to my system.
On my RB433GL, Ethernet port (SXT) and wlan1 (2.4GHz) in hotspot bridge? Ideas?
