While I was just starting to implement The Dude to do our monitoring, I somehow have caused a bug or something, in the way the mikrotik devices are polled.
I had around 10 devices, some RB532s and RB133s running 2.9.46 and they were monitoring great, then i started to upgrade a few of them to 3.0rc9, and noticed that under the devices tab, and then the RouterOS tab, it was failing to connect to the device. SNMP data was still being polled ok, but it wasn’t able to log into the radio and get more detailed info (I guess?).
So I started to fiddle with it, and I noticed that if i removed the “secure mode” option from the device settings, it would show a good connection and everything works great again. I use secure mode in winbox to connect to these same devices without any issues.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Kyle
