Seeking advice on Audience WPS Sync behavior

So I have 2 Audiences, on 6.47.6, default configurations, and I can link them together by pressing the WPS Sync button on Audience 1, then pressing and holding the WPS Sync button on Audience 2 while it is being powered on until the front LED flashes Amber. At this point the two devices see each other, and the front LED’s of both are green indicating they are linked.

All of this works great EXCEPT, The trouble I see is that when I reboot either one or both, this process must be repeated to link them. If someone’s not there to do the little WPS Sync button dance with both devices, they just boot up and have no idea there is another Audience nearby. I’ve spent a couple of hours today reading forum posts and documentation in search of a way to have at least 2 Audiences ‘linked’ to each other using the dedicated wifi band that is built in to them in type of way so they will reconnect to each other if either is rebooted. I have setup several RB951G routers in repeater mode, setup up one as normal, then go and enable repeater mode on the 2nd unit and tweak a few things, its a one time setup on the repeater and it will just always work even if both units are power cycled.

I get the WPS Sync button allows for easy Audience linking, but why doesn’t that linking stick when they are rebooted? Any info confirming that’s just the way it works, and or here’s a different way to do that would be appreciated.

I started working with MikroTik products earlier this year and am super impressed and am quickly becoming a fanboy

I just bought my first Audience and am thinking about buying a second one. Did you ever get a resolution to your issue? One possibility I can think of is in the provisioning set the action to “create-enabled” rather than “create-dynamic-enabled”.
