Send custom HTTP header

Hi!
Is it possible to send custom HTTP headers on page loading?
for example, when user submit the login.html form, returned page comes with a custom HTTP header.

I have read “Redirects and custom Headers” section in Customizing HotSpot manual, but couldn’t understand how does it work.
