I have an older routerboard with v3.3 loaded on it. I’ve been sending errors in the logs via an SMTP server that didn’t require SSL, but now I want to use Gmail’s servers, which do require SSL. Even though I’ve changed the port number, the server isn’t responding, most likely because the Mikrotik isn’t connecting by SSL.
Thoughts? Or should I just bite the bullet and purchase the upgrade license?
