I have used a Voipstunt account for years, its a mere cent or two to send an SMS.
But I was on the hunt for an email to sms server to do the job of notifying me when a RB goes down, without the need for a GSM dongle. (obviously no good if it happens to be your own gateway that fails) but nether the less seems like a very cost effective way of getting an SMS to your phone when things go wrong.
I tried the example on their page, replacing the xxxxxx’s with my own details, hit the web browser button, and hey presto, it worked immediately.
Now, what bright spark knows how to implement it, and please share the outcome.
I think this is a very interesting option.
Winbox has the ability to open website in it (“manual”) and within this website other pages can be opened.
Why should is not be able to open an url like:
[Explanation of the variables:
username: your VoipStunt username
password: your VoipStunt password
from: your username or your verified phone number. Always use international format for the number starting with +, for instance +491701234567
to: the number you wish to send the sms to. Always use international format starting with +, for instance +491701234567
text: the message you want to send
###############
Is this only because it is encrypted? (https)
How is the manual opened in winbox? Is this a script that is executed? How would that script look like if?
