I have got three routers connected in series as shown below :
R1 … R2 … R3
I am trying to setup an SMS Alert service if any of the router fails. I am trying to use Netwatch, I have added the script for both UP and Down. The problem is that if R1 fails then R2 and R3 will also fail in my scenario and i will be getting SMS saying router down for all the three routers. What i want help is that , is there any way that if router R1 fails then i get SMS alert for only R1 rather than getting it for all the three routers. Then when R1 is UP and R2 is still down then i get SMS alert for only R2 not for both R2 and R3.
