quesition lets say i do a remter serail connection ro read data

ok
so what i waht to do is say


pc-----mikrotikap ----mikrotik client----serialgps

so i create a remote to ip address on client gps

but if wireless is lost i can log data can i get mikrotik to create a text file so i can download it via ftp

and when wireless is on again it must stop creating files

and connect via the wirelss?

I have not played a lot with the gps features. I believe, however, that you can log data coming from a serial GPS unit. If you CAN, indeed, log that data, it is fairly trivial to turn logging of the gps data on and off depending upon whether the wireless card is connected or not. This would be a “feature” that would have to be done via a script.
