Hi there,
I’m having a devil of a time trying to get any sign of life out of a serial connection and hope someone can give me some advice please.
I first bought a USB RS232 to Serial DB9 Cable and used minicom to setup it up as /etc/ttyUSB0
Bps/Par/Bits = 115200 8N1
Hardware flow control No
Software flow control No
Save and exit the console but see nothing.
I then tried (and I don’t know if this is a valid approach or not) tried using jumper leads to match up 3 wires of RX, TX and GND to a
USB TO RS232 TTL PL2303 convertor. Again, no output.
From Winbox I see that serial0 is enabled and the port is marked as free
Any tips on what I could try next are greatfully received
