Serial , GSM modem and pin 9 ring

I want to connect my rb532 serial port (console) with a siemens GSM modem for remote management.

With rb500 connected to gsm modem when I try to call the modem , I have after dialing -“disconnected”.

If I unplug the serial cable and I make the call and after connection I plug in serial cable everything goes well and I can managed my rb532

I don’use cts/rts pin and in the rb532 I set to not use flow control.

I don’ know if it is a modem configuration problem or I must use pin 9 , pin 9 is ring pin on modem and maybe the same thing on rb. But I don’know how to tell to rb532 to answer a incoming call.

It sounds like you need to set up a PPP server on the serial port. Inside winbox go to interfaces, click the “+” and choose “PPP Server”, you should be able to add it to “serial0”, and specify a modem init string if necessary. Don’t forget to set up an appropriate PPP profile to be used.
