Is it possible to retrieve the serial number of routerboards via SNMP? If yes, where can I get the OID for this?
Thank you,

I’m not sure how you could retrieve the serial number. But you can retrieve the software ID (which is also unique) via .1.3.6.1.4.1.14988.1.1.4.1.0.
Thanks fewi, I have seen the ID is available. However, this will not help for my purpose since we use the serial numbers in our asset register which is scanned via bar-code scanner and therfore need the serial number. The serial number is available via
/system routerboard print
, but as far as I can see the serial number is not exposed via SNMP.
It will be very helpfull if Mikrotik can expose it via SNMP.
I would also be very interested in the ability to retrieve the serial number via snmp.
Just as an update in the newest MIB there is an entry for the Serial Number, and it seams to work for me.
OID: mtxrSerialNumber
