Hello all, i am doing a project in the one i need to put a RB192 and an embedded computer running windows 2000 to do various tasks. the embedded computer has the hability to redirect the console output to the serial port. my intention was to read this output using the serial port on the routerboard. however i can’t manage to make it work. i have tested the feature against my pc and it works perfectly, i have also conected the routerboard to my pc succesfully trough serial, (so both com ports and the cable are tested and working) i don’t what exactly is wrong, i have used a RS232 cable tester to check the coms and there aren’t colisions (1 little difference is observed between connecting to the pc and the mikrotik, when connecting to the pc, it appears like a handshake is performed) i have tested also various wiremaps for the rs232 cable, with looped handshake and similar, all unsuccessfull
so it’s either the serial-terminal app on the ROS or the serial hardware on the RB. anyone, ideas?
