Serial ports cannot be used for packet forwarding unless you have modems connected to serial ports.
@MT What about ppp using a null modem cable? It works.
@xezen: Is the goal to have a remotely controlled serial port or a remote serial connected network device?
If the former, then there is an easier way to make the remote serial port available:
